A hotel's nightly rate looks simple, but the real cost of a stay adds up across a few lines:
- Breakfast — often charged per person, per day at hotels; included with us.

Where a furnished apartment pulls ahead
The longer you stay, the more the maths tilts toward an apartment:
- Nightly rates drop for weekly and monthly stays. Direct-booked apartments almost always offer long-stay discounts that hotels rarely match.
- You cook some meals. Even a few home breakfasts and dinners meaningfully cut a week's food bill.
- No per-item extras. Laundry, breakfast and "resort" fees don't nickel-and-dime you.
- One booking covers a group. A living area and sofa can host colleagues or family without a second room.
Rule of thumb: for one or two nights, a hotel is fine. From about three nights up — and especially for weekly or monthly stays — a furnished apartment usually costs less and gives you far more space.
Where a hotel still makes sense
